Presentation Overview: High voltage power line (HVPL) caused induced AC current may result in severe corrosion issues to the collocated buried pipeline in the sharing corridor. Field readings of induced AC voltage and AC corrosion density from test points and coupons along pipeline route are regarded as an indicator of the corrosion risk and personnel hazard. Field data also provide the parameters to develop predicting model for AC mitigation design.
